Split, 10 September 2022 - In an extremely tense and very even final match of the Men’s European Water Polo Championships in Split, the Croatian water polo players won gold medal with a 10-9 victory over the Hungarian team (3-3, 1-0, 4-4, 2-2). Our team was led to triumph by the fantastic Marko Bijač at the goal, but the entire team’s fighting spirit led to victory, supported by a great crowd in the full Spaladium Arena.

Zagreb, 21 February 2021 - In dramatic unravelling of Olympic qualifying tournament in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, the Croatian water polo players secured their performance at the Tokyo Olympics (July 23rd - August 8th). After Saturday's semi-finals "roulette", where they were beaten by the Montenegrin team, Ivica Tucak's selectees had enough strength, skill and sports luck to beat the Russians (25-24) in the same but even more dramatic way. After 11-11 in four quarters of the game, they needed 15 series of five-meter penalty shots for Tokyo's Olympic "visa".

Zagreb, 3 June 2020 - Croatian water polo players have learned the date of the qualifying tournament for Tokyo Olympics. By decision of the International Swimming Federation (FINA), the tournament will be held in Rotterdam (Netherlands) from 14 to 21 February 2021.

Zagreb, May 8, 2020 - The world's most trophy-winning water polo expert, Ratko Rudić (71), decided to end his rich coaching career. After 39 years on the bench of many clubs and national teams, Rudić felt a lack of motivation for further work and decided to "retire", which in his case means continuing to stay with the greatest sports love - water polo. -

Barcelona, July 28, 2018.- Croatian water polo players, current World Champions, won a bronze medal at the European Championships in Barcelona, defeating Italy in a fight for the third place with 10-8.
